Should we keep waiting for the government jobs

What are the causes of unemployment in Pakistan, this is a separate topic and can be discussed in detail, long articles can be written. But will this reduce the unemployment rate? In my opinion, just talking or writing blogs will not reduce the unemployment rate because the policy makers of the government are not even reading these blogs, let alone reading them.

So now the question is how this situation can be improved. When I did some research on this topic, I found out that the best solution to reduce the unemployment rate according to experts all over the world is “Entrepreneurship” i.e. starting your own business.

Instead of waiting for the government to create new employment opportunities, we urgently need to change the mindset of our Pakistani youth to focus on “business” instead of “job” i.e. job. Try to become a recruiter rather than a seeker.

I understand very well that it is not possible for everyone reading this article to do “Entrepreneurship”, but I am sure that if even two or four out of thousands of readers succeed with this thought, it will be my greatest achievement. Success is, and can create employment opportunities for hundreds of others.

Pakistani Job Market Situation:

Most of the youth in our country start looking for a job after completing their education. When they go to the job market, they realize that finding a job is quite a difficult task because of Pakistan’s weak economic conditions (and numerous other reasons) with a very high unemployment rate.

Often such incidents are reported in the media that more than 30 thousand people applied for a certain government job which had only ten/twelve seats. More than 20,000 students appear in the Federal Government Competitive Examination (CSS), while there are around 200 seats. Now imagine for yourself that around 100 people are competing for one seat. Therefore one who succeeds in this is truly fortunate.

I myself have seen that even till the end of 80’s, those who did “B job” got immediate job. Then we saw that boys and girls who did BCS in Computer Science used to get jobs immediately, but today it is not like that. Today, there are thousands of unemployed graduates in the market, who have master’s degree, MBA, MCS, who are not getting jobs according to their educational qualifications, which is causing problems among our youth.

The one who gets the job is also worried:

Getting a job is a very difficult process. Well those who get jobs are they satisfied? So my observation is that majority of job seekers are not satisfied with their job. Due to the high unemployment rate, majority get jobs below their education/experience. I personally know many people who have bachelors and masters degrees in computer science, but they got a job as a computer operator, which they could not do because of their poor economic conditions and other factors. Are forced

Also, in Pakistan, most of the recruiters are considered as “personal servants”, in which you are told a lot of things for no reason. Apart from the work mentioned in the contract, there are many other tasks that a person is forced to do just so that this job does not go out of hand. And the salary that comes after a month is so little that it is spent in a single day.

Often employers complain that you can do as much good work as you want in the office, but you don’t get any reward for it, because their salary is fixed, which has nothing to do with their performance. Very few offices have a rule that if you do a good job, you can get paid more. Due to such reasons, most of the jobbers seem to be angry and frustrated. They are also working and complaining.

Can you get rich from a job:

In a country like Pakistan, if you want to be rich or economically prosperous, it is very difficult, if not impossible, for you to do so with a job and a halal salary, unfortunately, so much so that it is difficult for a few people to do so. No one else can do it. For example, house is the basic need of every family. In big cities, five marla houses cost Rs 40 to 50 lakhs. Now imagine a family in which one man works. How much should they save from their salary every year to buy their own house? While the value of the property also doubles in a few years. Therefore, the majority of job seekers in Pakistan cannot build their own house through their salary.

Importance of Entrepreneurship:

The original Urdu translation of Entrepreneur is “business person”. By the way, the importance of entrepreneurship can be estimated from the fact that “Entrepreneurship” has the status of a course in all private and public universities of Pakistan and the subject of entrepreneurship is being taught as a special degree program. , while in some universities this subject is given special importance in “MBA”, which is yielding great positive results.

Entrepreneurship is an asset:

Entrepreneurship is an asset while “job” is limited to your particular caste. For those who work, self-employment is a prerequisite for their income. That is, you cannot send someone else to the job instead of you. You have to do this job yourself. If for some reason the employed person leaves this world, his family benefits from the job are lost, or very less or non-existent.

In contrast, entrepreneurship is an asset to you and your family, an asset that can be sold. One of the great advantages of entrepreneurship is that since it creates jobs, you don’t have to worry about your children or relatives, nor do you have to worry about the job of your son or brother etc. You have to beg. You can employ your children or relatives along with you, and the family of a successful entrepreneur can easily afford the basic necessities of life.

No fear of inflation:

Since the income of the employed is fixed, every time the government announces a budget, or unannounced inflation, their hardships increase, especially the middle class, as their salary increases. So it has to be later in the year. (Remember that in many of our institutions the salary increase is after three or four years instead of annually) while inflation does not affect the entrepreneurial class in this way. Apart from this, entrepreneurs have numerous opportunities to increase their income.

No limit to growth:

There is no limit to growth in entrepreneurship. You can go far with your thinking and hard work, but there are limits everywhere in a job. For example, your promotion and salary increase follow a fixed pattern. It is not possible that a person joins a college/university as a lecturer and the next year he becomes a professor in that college, the next year he becomes the head of the department and the next year the principal/dean etc. Have to do.

Need for Entrepreneurship:

To reduce unemployment rate in Pakistani society we need entrepreneurial people. We have to think and decide that if we only produce experts in business, management, engineering, commerce or computer science, then sir where will they get jobs?

If our universities produce an entrepreneurial engineers instead of just producing engineers, it will reduce the unemployment rate in the country. Because they will create jobs.

We have to inculcate entrepreneurial desire in the youth:

Our youth is highly intelligent and has immense potential. Many countries of the world appreciate Pakistani youth, but the reason why our youth is suffering is because it is not traveling in the right direction.

My personal observation is that the work that is taught to our youth, they complete the work very well. In terms of hard work, enthusiasm and intelligence, the youth of Pakistan is not less than the youth of other countries of the world.

Now our youth have to think and decide that “I have to start my own business, I have to not be a slave to anyone else, I have to go ahead in every way, I have to reduce my weaknesses so that my ability to work can be improved.” And may the power increase, I have to do something great in this world, I have to create employment opportunities for the weaker sections of our society and increase their happiness.”

Next week we will explore the stories of some famous entrepreneurs from around the world and Pakistan and see why the common thinking of “where will the money to start a business come from” needs to change.
